Teodora fue la esposa de Justiniano I (emperador bizantino). Influyó en su marido, consiguiendo que las mujeres tuvieran más derechos, entre otras cosas, que pudieran heredar dinero. Fue coronada junto a Justiniano el 4 de abril del 527 d.C.
