Mahoma

Mahoma fue el profeta que fundó el Islam. Nació en la Meca (Península Arábiga) en 571. A los 40 años empezó a predicar los mensajes que el arcángel Gabriel le daba de parte de Al-lâh. En el 622 huyó a Medina (esto es conocido como la Hégira), donde consiguió más seguidores. Tras 8 años volvió a Meca con sus seguidores. Conquistaron la ciudad y, en 2 años, toda la Península Arábiga.

 

Muhammad was the prophet who founded Islam. He was born in Mecca (Arabian Peninsula) in 571. At the age of 40 he began preaching messages that the Archangel Gabriel gave him from Al-lâh. In 622 he fled to Medina (this is known as the Hegira), where he got more followers. After 8 years he returned to Mecca with his followers. They conquered the city and, in 2 years, the entire Arabian Peninsula.
