Luis el Piadoso

Luis el Piadoso fue el hijo de Carlomagno. Nació en el 814 y murió en el 840. Durante su reinado continuaron las luchas y se finalizó la expansión territorial. Tras su muerte, sus tres hijos, Carlos el Clavo, Lotario y Luis el Germánico, se dividieron el Imperio Carolingio (843, Tratado de Verdún). Eso supuso la desintegración del Imperio Carolingio.

Louis the Pious was Charlemagne's son. He was born in 814 and he died in 840. During his reign there where fights and the expansion of the kingdom ended. After his death, his three sons, Charles the Clove, Lothair and Louis the German, divided the Carolingian Empire (843, Treaty of Verdun). That meant the desintegration of the Carolingian Empire.
