The Giralda of Seville

At first it was a mosque. but it was destroyed to build the Christian Gothic cathedral, respecting only two Muslim elements: the Giralda (reconverted into a Christian bell tower) and the "Patio de los Naranjos".

St. Mary of Lebeña

Here you have some pictures of the inside of St. Mary of Lebeña:

St. Clement of Tahull

On the 10th of December 1123, Ramón Guillem, Bishop of Roda-Barbastro, consecrates the church of St. Clement of Tahull, after completing the reconstruction of the building and the execution of mural paintings inside. This  is the farthest date were you can find the name of this small church in the documentation of the era that has survived to our days. A day later, the nearby parish of St. Mary of Tahull was devoted.

Tesselations are all around us

In class we're learning things about tesselations. In this project, I'm going to describe 4 tipes of tesselations that you can find in nature, in food, in the city and in sport.

Tesselations

NATURE

This is a pine cone. It's made of wooden petals forming a pear-shaped. It repeats in a spiraling sequence.

FOOD

This is a chocolate bar. It's made of chocolate squares forming a square-shaped. It repeats in a grid.

CITY

This is a step of my stairs. It's made of small tiles in a mosaic-shaped. It repeats periodically.

SPORTS

This is a football ball. It's made of fabric pentagons in a circular-shaped. It repats in a spiraling-sequence.
